The problem
Store searches often fail when a shopper describes intent instead of using the exact words in a product title. Better relevance also has to integrate without replacing the merchant’s theme or removing a reliable fallback.
What I built
I built a FastAPI service that extracts useful query attributes, creates vector embeddings, runs hybrid keyword and semantic search, and synchronizes product catalogs. A Shopify embedded app manages OAuth, catalog sync and theme integration, while a WordPress plugin intercepts WooCommerce searches and supplies compatible product results. PostgreSQL stores merchant state and Weaviate stores product vectors.
