The problem
The application had to manage clients, invoices, PDF generation and subscription billing while updating the invoice preview in real time.

Key decisions
- 01
Show the document while it is being built.
Invoice fields and line items update a live preview, reducing the gap between entering data and understanding the final PDF output.

Keep invoice data separate from presentation.
Structured invoice records feed multiple HTML templates, so visual styles can change without duplicating billing logic or customer data.

Handle subscriptions inside the product.
Stripe plans and webhook-driven billing state connect account access to the same application instead of relying on a separate manual process.
What I built
I built the Go and Echo backend, Vue.js interface, PostgreSQL data layer, live invoice preview, wkhtmltopdf document pipeline, client management and Stripe subscription billing.
